Book Review: The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Several authors present and past have eloquently painted pictures in our minds of what the future could hold. The Maze Runner is no different. It is the beginning of a seductive story that engulfs the reader; this is not a put-down-easily book. The author created characters that effortlessly attach to the reader, connecting the two mentally, emotionally, and physically. What would you do if you woke in a strange place ran by teenagers, no memories, and unimaginably horrible creatures killing them off?

Also check out the sequels to The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner #2), and The Death Cure (Maze Runner #3). Reviews on those to come shortly, though I will give you a heads up: it is one of my favorites series. I could reread these adventures many times.
